OUR FOUNDER
Kelly Schultz is a wearer of many hats, including proud millennial, smitten wife, typical oldest daughter, outgoing introvert, former president of every club under the sun, and now founder of her own company.
Outside of Signed & Sealed, she is a seasoned public relations executive, bringing more than six years of experience in juggling national communications campaigns for various clients at an NYC-based agency. “Organized” is her middle name. One of her most memorable PR engagements resulted in a Wall Street Journal feature story about the world’s largest gold coin.
Fueled by a passion for planning and for love, she now channels her expertise into wedding consulting, guiding couples on their journey to a memorable celebration. Kelly is not only a wedding consultant, but is also an ordained officiant specializing in crafting heartfelt ceremonies.
She is an alumnus of the Broad College of Business and the Honors College at Michigan State University (but grew up outside of Ann Arbor and has been caught on occasion sporting maize and blue, as long as the Spartans are not playing that day). She enjoyed every second of her five years living in the Big Apple, but has a soft spot for the Great Lakes and Michigan cider mills, and is happily settled back home near family in metro Detroit.

Where did the idea for wedding planning support services come from?
We’re glad you asked! Our founder, Kelly, is a lifelong wedding aficionado (and type A organization fanatic), but when she got engaged, she could not have been more overwhelmed. It all happens so fast! When chatting with a friend about being unsure of where to start, she mentioned that she felt like she might need a full-service wedding planner, although the cost would take a significant sum from her wedding budget. That friend (thanks, Page!) gave some great advice that day: she assured Kelly of the pride she would feel if she and her fiancé planned the wedding themselves, and she was 100% correct. She looks back on her wedding with a feeling of great accomplishment, knowing that they made it happen, and that they thoughtfully chose every detail themselves. So today, Signed & Sealed is here to give that same pep talk to other couples: you can do it! And we’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.
How is Signed & Sealed different from a traditional wedding planner?
Most full-service wedding planners will book vendors, manage vendor conversations & site tours, design and execute all decorations, and coordinate on the day of the event. While wedding planners can be a fantastic option, they are a luxury.
Signed & Sealed offers what we call “planning support.” For a fraction of the price of a full-service planner, we will serve as your consultant through the planning process, with monthly virtual meetings and unlimited email communications. We’ll keep you on track so that no tasks, major or minor, are overlooked in the lead-up to the event. You’ll be clear on what you should be doing, how, when, who to involve, and pro tips from those “in the know” to make the process seamless.
In addition to planning support, we offer other à la carte planning services such as timeline creation, ceremony writing, and website creation. For couples in metro Detroit, we offer onsite event services, such as wedding coordination (a perfect add-on to our signature package!).
How can I get pricing information?
We believe in transparency when it comes to pricing. All of our services and associated pricing are listed on our website. We know how frustrating it can be to have to fill out a tedious “contact us” form just to get some basic information! Our signature Planning Support package, which will provide you with support and guidance for up to 14 months leading up to your wedding, is available for $1,100.

I noticed you offer officiating services - are you licensed?
Absolutely! Kelly is ordained through American Marriage Ministries and is fully licensed to perform marriage ceremonies in the state of Michigan.
