Welcome to part two in the series! Today I'm sharing a few ideas you may not have thought of to incorporate as your "something new" on your wedding day.
Perfume
They say that scent is closely tied to memories! So, why not take the opportunity to splurge on some new perfume. You can wear it on future anniversaries and other special occasions to bring back the emotions of your big day.
Shoes
The key here is to make sure to break in those beautiful new shoes before you wear them for hours on your wedding day. Your feet will thank you. Honestly, it's so important that I include it as a task for my brides during the final month of planning!
Champagne Flutes
There will probably be lots of toasting during the reception, so get yourselves a set of special champagne flutes that you can keep as a memento for years to come. As a pre-wedding gift, my mom got my husband and I champagne flutes that were engraved with our names and wedding date. We love to use them to this day. If you're going this route, make sure to alert your coordinator and venue so they can ensure your special glasses are placed (and filled!) for you before dinner.
Last name!
Ok, bear with me on this one. If you're changing your last name, display it loud and proud on a personalized denim jacket! This would be perfect for a chilly outdoor reception, or for a grand exit.
Whatever you choose, have fun with it. The traditions and little details are part of what makes a wedding day so incredibly special. I'd love to hear what you are using for your "something new"!
Stay tuned for future posts if you're still looking for "something borrowed" or "something blue."
